Bugatti only made three Atlantic’s with the distinctive flared seam riveted down the center of the roof and fenders. Ralph Lauren owns one valued at 40 million dollars, another is in the Mullin Museum in Oxnard, CA and was purchased for 35 million. The third was demolished at a railroad crossing.
We took three years to build a composite replica 1937 Bugatti Atlantic Type 57sc. We jokingly call the Pacific. It has a BMW V-12 engine, automatic transmission, power windows, power brakes and air conditioning. The wheelbase has been stretched from 117 of the original car to 127 inches adding passenger compartment room so a 6 foot 6 inch tall passenger can fit comfortably inside. The seats feature brocaded fabric.People have told us it is more beautiful than Ralph Lauren’s original Atlantic. The car pictured here is For Sale now and available for immediate delivery.
After 19 years of work, our 88% scale, fiberglass and steel replica of the famed 1936 Maharaja Duesenberg is complete and For Sale.
Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg was unquestionably the premier automobile manufacturer in the United States. The last Duesenberg made was a spectacular roadster built for Maharaja Yeshwant Rao Holkar of Indores India. With a custom body made in Croydon, England by coachbuilders Gurney Nutting, many car collectors feel it is the best looking Duesenberg ever made. Reportedly when it came out of the jungle to be shipped to the USA in 1956, it was cradled in a sling between four elephants!
The original car is currently owned by retired Air Force General William Lyons in Orange County, CA and is not For Sale. Movie star Gary Cooper’s similar 1935 SSJ roadster recently sold at a collector car auction at Pebble Beach, CA for 22 million dollars.
Our Maharaja replica is powered by a new 502 cubic inch Chevrolet engine with a new four speed automatic. Equipped with leather interior, air conditioning, defroster, power steering, power brakes and power windows, you can put the beautiful black top on the car and drive in total comfort, The trunk contains a set of hand crafted matching luggage complete with picnic silverware and glasses. It is a ride fit for royalty.
By combining our composite replica Figoni & Falaschi 135 Delahaye style fully enclosed “pontoon” fenders with one of our 1937 Type 57sc Bugatti bodies, either the Pacific fastback coupe or our folding convertible top Gangloff drophead, a futuristic classic can be the result.
We manufacture composite bodied roadsters available with either open exposed wheels or fully enclosed “pontoon” fenders reminiscent of Delahaye 135’s built by famed Italian coach builders in Paris, Giuseppe Figoni and Ovidio Falaschi. You have a choice of either Type 57 or 57s Bugatti grille shells or that of a Delahaye 135 or 165.
Unquestionably one of the most grandiose motorcars ever conceived was the 1938 Horch 853 sport cabriolet. Only two were built by master German coach builders Voll & Ruhrbeck. One was awarded the highly coveted Best Of Show award at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the most prestigious classic car event in the world. We can build an aluminum or 3D printed replica complete with dual spare tires.
Considered by many to be the most beautiful car in history, the Figoni & Falaschi 1939 Delahaye cabriolet Type 165 is a sensual blend of flowing, sweeping lines. We have built the car shown here in bare aluminum with a V-12 engine. With power top, power dual retractable windshields for both the driver and rumble seat, it is breathtaking.
The most exotic project we ever faced was this 19.5 foot long streamliner. Based on a 1953 Bentley chassis with a steel body we had hand crafted in Thailand, motivation comes from a Rolls Royce B80 Mark Five straight eight engine and Bentley automatic transmission.
The styling was inspired by a 1948 175s Delahaye designed and built by famed master Russian carriossier Jacques Saoutchik. We named this car the Sultan because he was the exclusive builder of fine automobiles for kings, sheikhs, potentates and the worldwide automotive aristocracy. The design features a unique wraparound interior. This project is currently more than half completed. You can buy it unfinished as is now for $200,000 or we can complete it for you for $500,000
We have started construction and are half finished on a Type 57s 1937 Bugatti cabriolet with folding hideaway convertible top, power windows, power steering, custom fitted luggage, new V-8 engine with automatic transmission. It is similar to this white Gangloff bodied car at the Musee National del’Automobile in Mulhouse, France. Available with or without rear fender spats.
Several years ago Ferrari organized a competition with the five top automotive design universities in the world in Italy, Japan, England and two in the United States. Design students were challenged to create a remarkable new shape that could become a future production model. The Art Center School in Pasadena, CA and Ferrari had a disagreement and withdrew from the competition. Designed by an Art Center student, many agreed that this is the car that would have won.
We have the digitized design. Using either a 348, 355 or 360 Ferrari “Donor Car”, we could remove the body and hand shape a new alloy or 3D printed body and mount it on the Ferrari chassis and running gear.
Custom built on a 1937 V-16 Cadillac chassis for wealthy playboy Phillipe Barraud by carriossier Willy Hartmann in Lausanne Switzerland, this 22 foot long cabriolet is awe inspiring. Found abandoned in a field it sold for $926 in 1968. It has been restored five times, sold at auction for 1.4 million dollars in 1990 and was recently sold privately to top collector Jim Patterson of Louisville, KY for undisclosed millions. We can build an aluminum or 3D printed replica with modern engine, accessories and paint it any color you desire.
Starting with a vintage 1935 Cord 810 four door sedan that has been outfitted with a Corvette engine and modern running gear, we design a power lift-off aluminum roof that reveals automatically retractable dual cowl windshields for both the front and rear seat. Fully enclosed “pontoon” style fenders cloak the wheels and tires ala famed coach builders Figoni & Falaschi. Hydraulic suspension allows the car to be raised and lowered at the touch of a switch.
In 1929 E.L.Cord was founder and President of the Cord Corporation, manufacturers of the three most prestigious motorcars ever built in the United States, the Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg. He gained worldwide renown for creating ostentatious automobiles. One 135 inch wheelbase touring car he wanted to build as his own personal phaeton was this stunning four door with folding convertible top. It was never built but we have the plans and can convert a 1932 Cadillac making his dream reality.
Ettore Bugatti built seven different massive Royals. This Coupe Napoleon was his own personal favorite. We know where there is a real Royal frame and could build an aluminum bodied replica of this 21 foot long masterpiece with modern power train, air conditioning, etc,
In 2005 Mercedes unveiled a futuristic, one of a kind concept show car called the Maybach Excelero. Historically Maybach was a builder of some of the most elegant automobiles ever created. Designed in a competition of students of the Pforzheim Polytechnic Department of Transportation Design, it rocked the automotive world and was sold for a reported eight million dollars. It was powered by a twin turbocharged V-12
Inspired by the Excelero, using top professional Detroit car designers together with the industry’s finest panelbeaters with a S63 or S65 AMG Mercedes as the basis, we can produce a bespoke aluminum rebodied, one of a kind rolling work of art inspired by the Excelero.
Using a custom built aluminum body we would design and create at a top coach builders studio, we could execute this stylish fastback with room for four passengers. A big car with a 135 inch wheelbase and overall length of 17.5 feet.
Deco Rides, a division of Appleton Productions and Delahaye USA, manufactures four different body styles of the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr.
